HISTORY MAKERS
This group will be holding its first meeting in October and from then on every first Tuesday of the month in the winter. We shall start off by looking at the Tsar Peter the Great (1672 - 1725) who is often mentioned in connection with Putin and his ambitions for Russia. Peter had a huge influence on the direction of Russia and its relations with Europe at that time.
The group will be looking at other leaders of similar standing in the coming months and trying to draw some conclusions about why events and people change history.
