The pandemic has turned many of us into Zoom users and we shall continue some meetings on Zoom once it is over. As soon as it is safe to meet face to face, however, we shall resume our regular activities which are described below.
Monthly Meetings
We hope to be able to resume our usual monthly meetings before very long. All members are welcome and there is a Speaker, followed by the opportunity to socialise over refreshments. The meetings will be held in the Camden Centre, Market Square on the third Thursday of each month, usually at 2.30pm. For a location map click Market Square Map
Coffee Mornings
Our monthly coffee mornings are a great way to meet people and find out more about the U3A. Committee members are always present to make you welcome. At present we are holding meetings on Zoom but as soon as possible we shall meet as before at Trinity Arts Centre at 10.30 on the last Friday of the month.
Events Throughout the Year
We normally have a varied programme of events throughout the year that are open to all members, usually by ticket. These include a Barn Dance, Summer BBQ, Christmas Lunch, Quiz evening, Afternoon Tea with Board Games and many more. Watch this space!
Outings and Short Breaks
We run about 10 coach Outings per year to places of interest. We can’t wait to resume the fantastic programme we had planned! We also arrange Short Breaks and Holidays which also get booked up quickly. Outings and Short Breaks are very popular and get booked up quickly so check the latest newsletter for updates and booking forms.
All our Events are advertised in our Newsletter where you will find the latest news about them.
