u3a High Streets Research Project Group
Events since March 2020 are acknowledged to have accelerated the changes to our local high streets and town centres.
The High Streets Research Project is a nationwide and local community research project set up to build up databases that can be revisited at future dates. Any changes can be recorded.
Here in Tunbridge Wells the initial streets covered were the the Conservation areas of the High Street, Chapel Place, and the Pantiles. The TW Project group has now completed the National Project exercise. However if there are those who are interested in carrying out the exercise in other areas, such as Camden Road, Monson Road etc. the existing group would be happy to advise them on how to go about the exercise to help get them under way. Once the information has been collected, they would be willing to upload to the TWu3a database.
