WALKING

TWu3a members participate at their own risk. Neither the TWu3a nor the organiser will accept responsibility for any accident, injury or mishap of whatever nature or any third party claim.   It is up to members individually to arrange for any personal insurance cover they think necessary. No pets (unless assistance dogs) are allowed without the agreement of the group.

STROLLERS
We walk for about 1hr- 1hr 15mins and approx. 2 miles. Some walks are in the countryside, not too many hills and may include one stile. If there will be a style the group is notified in advance.   We include a short rest about half way on the route.   A visit to a cafe (or mobile facility) is usually at the end of session but sometimes on route.  We will usually finish by midday.   Our pace is slow to medium.

MEANDERERS
The Meanderers walk locally for an hour and keep to pathways.  In dryer weather we venture further afield and a coffee stop is often an essential part of the walk.

WALK ON THE WILDSIDE
Our group members all have a shared interest in wildlife, nature in general and enjoy a walk. Usually the walks are about 3 -5 miles but no more. Although many of these walks are very local we do go further a field. Usually we can organise shared lifts to reduce the number of cars travelling to the same destination.
Meetings: Monthly Third Friday.

WEALDEN WALKERS
The Wealden Walkers was the first walking group in the TW u3a and was originally know as Ita’s Walking Group[ after it’s founder and first leader, Ita Edwards. Today, the group walks are between 5 and 6½ miles and are mainly within a radius of about 12 miles from Tunbridge Wells with the occasional one further afield. The walks can be quite hilly and will include a number of stiles at times. We keep to footpaths recognised by Ordnance Survey. Weather and terrain plays a part so good footwear and waterproof raingear are essential . We start at 0930 every Monday morning and every member is encouraged to lead a walk once in a while.
Meetings: Weekly every Monday  09.30
